'Tis the Season!!

We have had quite a weekend! Friday afternoon, we picked out our Maine pine tree to serve as our Christmas tree, fully set up and decorated in the living room. After letting it warm up overnight, we decorated it on Saturday morning, after some homemade blueberry pancakes (thanks, Brian!!). With Christmas music in the background, all 5 of us added one memorable ornament after another to the tree, until it was brimming with sparkle. The boys loved it, and Mom and Dad enjoyed themselves as well.

After some sustenance, we packed up the car and headed south on 95 to Portland in order to catch the 4pm departure of the Polar Express on it's way to the North Pole. The boys were excited to sit and ride on the train, and especially to be served hot chocolate and cookies. Then to dance down the aisle with "the help", and the finale of course, was an appearance of ole St Nick himself. He greeted each child and shook their hand, or gave them a hug! It was a wonderful ride and a memory that will last a lifetime.

May Fair and new bikes....

May is an exciting time in Maine....finally the snow is all gone, and the temps start to warm up! This Memorial Day weekend has been gorgeous and we are MORE than excited to get outside and enjoy it.

We bought David is first BIG WHEEL and Daddy assembled it during his nap, so when we woke up it was waiting for him in the living room. He was very excited about it!!

The FIRST ride!!

Driving around the driveway....

The boys on their bikes....can't wait for summer vacation, so we can do this EVERYDAY!!!

David REALLY enjoyed his chocolate ice cream cone that Daddy made for him.

Hoosier is the best dog around.....enjoying some time with "Ish" and David.

Here the boys are after some (more ) chocolate ice cream....

CRAZY faces!!!

Walking around at the Cake Walk at the May Fair.
Paul's elementary school has this fair every year.
The boys love to do the cake walk, and Paul even won a cake again this year.
He very nicely shared it with his brothers.... : )

Recent events in the Dimitri Household

This week is April vacation for the Maine Dimitris. We have been having a perfect week, and look forward to the rest of vacation. Last night was MOVIE NIGHT! We watched Tangled and had candy, popcorn and soda. YUMMY!! We all enjoyed the movie and then the boys spent the night downstairs on the floor together. They call it, "camping out". : )

Here is a picture of Paulie....is it me, or does he look older??!!

Henry has been really excited lately about coloring and pretending that he is doing his "schoolwork". He was recently chosen for the local Pre-K program that will start in the fall for him. He is very excited about it!!

David LOVES to look at books, and his latest love is "Little Quack". He found another L.Q. book the other day in the sunroom, and was overjoyed!! He sat on the dogfood container and "read" it for a long time.

David also LOVES trains!! He likes to get as close as he can to them, and here he is right next to it. Just like the other boys used to do at his age. SO cute!!

We have had quite a cold spring thus far, and really are looking forward to some WARMER temperatures. Not sure when they are going to arrive, but we have been going outside anytime that it is not raining. : )

I posted this picture, so you all could see how tall the boys are getting...especially Paul!!

The sandbox is finally uncovered from the snow, so they can play in that now too!!

SMILE, Henry!!

Henry and Paul working at the construction site....

David joins in and helps with the other 2 boys....

Henry and his bud, Hoosier.

This is David's new hand gesture...."what?" "what did I do?"
hahahahahaha.......

Paul had his music concert at school on March 29th of this year, with the kindergartners and first graders. He was very excited about it, and I even heard him practicing in the bathroom the day of the concert. (so cute!!)

Here he had a solo with another girl in his class (some of you know her....) Sophia (in the pink dress)!!

Well, spring is almost here right??
It is according to the calendar, but not if you walk outside. It was 38 degrees today when we all went to Pizza Hut for their lunch buffet....yikes!! Doesn't sound like April 20th weather temps to me!! Oh, well....soon enough. Have a great week!

HAPPY EASTER!!! love you all!!
