Summer fun with the boys

We have finally had a nice stretch of beautiful weather, and we have all taken full advantage of it, because I am afraid that it might stop at any time.

Today we got the pool out for the second time this week.....I am squirting the whale shark with the rubber ducky. Henry has a ducky too....

Paul was pretending to go swimming, and kind of fell in the water more than he expected. Henry took advantage of the situation, and poured more water on him.

Henry likes to pour water back and forth. I think that he was mixing me a drink. ; )

Here David is in his stroller, at the Auburn airport. We went there earlier this week for a picnic lunch. The boys love to watch the airplanes, and we sit an enjoy a lunch outside in the summer sun. Everyone wins!! Can you believe that David will be 9 months on the 27th!? I can't!!

At our airport, they are refurbishing a Constellation airplane, and the boys love looking at it when we drive by to go to the turnpike. So, while we were at the airport for lunch, we took a walk over to the hanger and asked if we could take a look (there were PRIVATE signs everywhere....) Here the boys are in the brand new hanger. Henry totally freaked out when we had to leave. He wanted to go IN the plane.....

Notice no one is looking at me, except for Bri.....good thing he is, I guess.

Happy Anniversary, BenKat!!

Happy 2nd anniversary Ben and Katie! We are so happy for you to be celebrating your anniversary abroad....what a treat! You will always remember this one! Hope that you have had a wonderful day (we would have sent a card, but I don't think that you have an address currently, right??)

PIZZA NIGHT!!

Who said that Friday night had to be pizza night?? Apparently in this household, Monday night can be pizza night, especially when it is summer vacation! YIPPEE!! The boys were able pick out their own toppings, and put the cheese on too. Cute Henry thought that the olives were blueberries. He is on a blueberry kick lately......blueberries on a pizza? He may be onto something....who knows??

FINALLY....we go to the beach!

Here in Maine, we haven't had much for summer weather, thus we had not been to the beach. It was the 5th wettest June on record, since 1871, and we only had 2 fully sunny days!! But finally on July 10th!!! we went to Pine Point, our favorite spot on the Atlantic Ocean (where the whale sharks live, as Paul tells me).

It was the PERFECT day; warm, a nice breeze, and the water was great too.

The boys had a awesome time. David wasn't too sure about the water, but he definitely took everything in, and watched his older brothers in the water, and playing in the sand. David also indulged in one life's simple and GREAT pleasures, a beach nap (in his mommy's arms). : )

We can't wait to go back again! Until then, we will have to "settle" ; ) for trips to the beaches at Lake Michigan and Lake Ontario....aren't we LUCKY!!!!

David is growing by leaps and bounds and we cannot believe how much of a personality he already has at 8 months of age. He is a mover and a shaker and I am going to have to really be ready for this boy when he is walking. : )
