The May Fair 2010

Paul's school, Park Avenue Elementary, had their annual May Fair this past Saturday, May 8th. We had a great time, and luckily Nini came with us, so we could go "man-to-man" with our defense!! : )

Here I am telling Paul and Henry how to play the "cake walk". Paul gives it a thumbs up, and is ready to go!!

You will notice in the second picture just how serious Paul is, and how much he wants that cake. They played one time, but neither of them won. And then they tried it one more time before lunch, and Paul won a cake! He was SO excited, and is displaying the cake that he got to pick out himself!!

Here the boys are in the bouncy house! I was not too excited about this, especially since they had never been in one before. But since they went in it with only other young children, Bri and I figured it would be OK.

They LOVED it!! And fortunately, Henry didn't completely freak out when the timer buzzed and they had to get out of it. : )

They also had lots of games for the kids to play, for free! The boys' favorite game of the day was the fishing game. Here they are with their catches of day!!

Lastly, we had lunch in Paul's cafeteria. We ate hot dogs, cheeseburgers, popcorn, water, and some sweet treats that Nini bought for the boys. We had a great time, and everyone was ready for naps after lunch.
We are already looking forward to next year's Fair....but first we can look forward to the Fall Festival in September!!

Happy Easter, 2010!!

Happy Easter, everyone! We had the perfect Easter weekend, filled with warm weather, fun outside activities, family visits, and yummy food! And the boys loved their Easter baskets, and treats today too!

We decorated eggs with Uncle Tom, Aunt Emily, and Uncle John yesterday. The boys WHIPPED through 30 eggs and in about 15 minutes....and that was with me trying to slow them down. They LOVE to dye eggs!!

Here is Uncle John, Paulie, and Henry after church and the egg hunt at Ni-ni's house.

Paul and his basket.....each of the boys has a ball-themed basket. David has the soccer ball, and Henry has the basketball one. They each got a solid chocolate rabbit, and a toy too. Fun was had by all.....and this weather is AWESOME!! We broke records all over Maine for being in the 70s all weekend!

David is growing up so fast...that third child just grows up in a blink of the eye, I swear. He is a sweetie pie, and loves to eat dinner "with" the family now. He ate dinner at the table tonight and had an awesome time!! Chicken, broccoli (he LOVES that! seriously...), cheese, and pasta and peas. Oh, and of course, some milk!! Just another Sunday dinner at 8 Fern Street. : )
