Paul's 6th Birthday parties.....

Paul turned 6 years old this week, and we were able to celebrate multiple times with his friends and our family. On Wednesday, we had a family party, with Nini, and here is the cake that I baked and Brian decorated. Paul wanted a battle scene on the cake, of a T-Rex and an anklyosaurus. : )Blowing out his candles.....
Henry enjoying a piece of cake, and some Rocky Road ice cream.....

Opening presents....Paul is excited about the Imaginext airplane that he got from Papa and Grandma Jane.

Here he is with a puzzle from Nini.

On Sunday, we had the first friend's party for any of the boys. Paul was very excited to invite 3 of his best buddies, who all happen to live in the neighborhood too (within walking distance), and are all in the same class at school.
Paul sits next to Sophia waiting to blow out his candles.....

Here he is opening the presents.....Dino Racing from Owen!! You can tell that he is very excited!!

And below, the kids are getting ready to complete their projects before eating some yummy Pizza Hut pizza and bread sticks. They also got to choose their own sodas to drink, which was a special treat for Paul. He very rarely has soda. : )

The kids are busy with their projects......It was a very fun party, and I think that all the kids had a great time. The moms did too.....sit and relax with some water and pizza for an hour or so. A break from the normal craziness that we all experience everyday!

Mrs. Carter and Sophia B. Dressed alike by accident.... : )

Sophia and Paulie.....aren't they cute!! Paul loved this card from Sophia!! He loves cars!!

Happy Birthday Paul Frederic! I love you!!

First day of school 2010

Paul, Henry and David pose for our annual First Day of School picture in the driveway. It was a gorgeous day, and week (a little too hot, in the 90s everyday!) but Paul loved being in school again. He loves his teacher, Mrs. Dodge (who was a student teacher when my brothers were at Lake Street School!!). Tomorrow we start the second week of school....we will see how it goes!

Here Paul is waiting in line to go into school. His buddy Owen Carter is standing in line with him. Paul wore a Star Wars Lego t-shirt and shorts. It was the first time that he wore the shirt! He was really excited to show his friends and his teacher. : )

Here he checks back one more time to see if I am watching him, and will wave goodbye. What a cutie! He is such a good boy! Love you Paulie!!!

videos of Papa Jon and the boys riding the tractor!!

Here is a video of Papa Jon and Paul riding the tractor for the first time. Paul loved it, of course, and I think would have ridden it everyday, if he had the chance.

This is a video of the H-man and Papa riding the tractor.....of course, Henry gives it a little EXTRA gas at the beginning. HOLD ON papa!! : )

ok....so we have had a busy summer!!

We had such an amazing summer! The weather in Maine was the BEST I ever remember in all of the summers that I have spent here. We were so busy doing fun things everyday, (OUTSIDE everyday, except for maybe 2 or 3 days), that I never spent any time blogging.

....a picture is worth a thousand words, they say. So........please, enjoy!

David LOVES playing basketball.

I was trying to get a video of his great skills...but he wasn't really playing along.

He gets one good shot in, and the rest is silliness. : )

Pine Point July 2010

We are in the middle of a HEATWAVE here in Maine. Night time temperatures haven't been below 65 degrees or so in about a week. It has been in the 90s every day this week, and dew point temps have been in the high 60s, and low 70s....ridiculously sticky!!

So we decided that we had better go to the BEACH!! The ocean was perfect. We got there as the tide was going out, and stayed for over 3 hours. It was wonderful. No one really wanted to leave, but it was time for some napping. : ) And we decided that we should probably get out of the sun.

Daddy and David enjoying some refreshing watermelon.

My four boys....

Say, "CHEESE!!!"

Love those guys!!

A view from our spot in the sand. Gorgeous day! So warm, a little breeze, and we were in the water about 80% of the time. It was awesome!!

Paul lost his first tooth!!

(So, apparently I need to wipe Paul's face more often.....but, anyway....)

Paul lost his first tooth on July 2nd. It was loose for about 8 days and he ended up pushing it out with his tongue while he was outside playing, and it fell on the driveway. I tried to pull it out earlier that morning, but it had little bit left to go. I am glad that he lost it on his own terms, and he was very excited when the tooth fairy left him a $1 on his dresser in the morning. : )
