Here, it is the Tuesday after vacation. And we have another storm headed our way. They are predicting almost a foot for our region. We'll see.....But, we had a wonderful time together last week. We had about nine days or so to hang out and relax as a family and just enjoy being together. We took a trip to South Portland to do a little shopping and even drove south to Waltham, MA overnight for 2 nights to visit with Uncle John. He was the perfect host, and a great cook too! It was GREAT! Mommy even had some time with her friends to scrapbook and hang out too! Perfect week!! While we were at Uncle John’s apartment, we took the T into the city and visited the New England Aquarium. The boys loved the aquarium. It was also their first time on the subway. Paul LOVED the subway, and thought that it was really neat. He wanted to watch all the trains come and go, and commented on each one. It was a lot of fun! At the aquarium, Paul’s favorite thing was the live-size model of a whale shark hanging from the ceiling, and Henry loved any of the fish. We got a couple of souvenirs too (Paul, a whale shark and Henry, a mini great white!) Fun was had by all!!.
Enjoying life in Maine with my husband, THREE boys, and our dog, Hoosier. The ocean, pine trees, and a peaceful way of life... The way it should be.

Another day, another storm.
So, I know that it is February in Maine. But, come on!! Today it snowed for the sixth day in a row.....they say that we get a reprieve for the next 48 hours, but another storm is coming Wednesday, and it may contain a secondary low blossoming off the coast. fun fun....we shall see what happens. Oh, by the way, did I mention that Brian had his sixth snow day last week. Nice birthday present for him, 2 days late. Well, they say when life hands you lemons, make a snowman, right? So that is what we did today. It was a lot of fun, and Paul even pulled Henry around the driveway in the little boy sled (from Ni-ni, here's a shout out to Ni-ni!!). Paul got a new big boy sled from Santa, but Henry is too little to ride in it. Paul really loves the snow, and stayed outside with Brian for a long time. Henry and I went inside after a little while, to warm ourselves up, and make lunch. Hope that you are all enjoying winter in your neck of the woods.
Here is another shot of the boys from today. Just goes to show you what happens when it snows all the time. The boys made "jets" out of the diaper boxes. Never a dull moment in this house.

He shoots, he scores.....
Good morning! Happy February. We made it through another January in Maine, which is always a goal. Last night, the Dimitri family enjoyed watching a little bit of "the orange" being thrown around on "the hardwood", in the good old ELHS gymnasium. The boys were playing Morse High School, which is located in Bath, Maine. The Red Eddies's jv team won and so did the varsity, although we did not stay for the entire varsity game. Paul had decided that after he had finished his cherry tootsie roll pop, that he was tired and wanted to go home to bed. So, we granted his wish and went home. It was Henry's first basketball game, and he really liked the cheerleaders and pep band. Paul was quite excited when the band played the, "Go Big Red!" song. Keep your fingers crossed for the Pats tonight. We will be watching with Hoosier Mama's pulled pork in hand (it is in the oven as we speak!).

Ooohhh, January in Maine...
It is January 27th, and I am ready for a crocus or a whiff of lilac or even a violet peeking out of the snow. Alas, there are none of these present outside my door. So, I must post a photo of Lake Ontario to keep me sane for the next 12 weeks or so, until it gets above freezing here in the great state of Maine.

We're going to Arizona!!
Well, WE aren't going, but the New England Patriots are going...to the SUPERBOWL!! Love 'em, and what a game this afternoon. The boys watched bits and pieces, but mom and dad watched the whole game. We even ate dinner early, during halftime, so that we wouldn't miss a down. Can't wait for the next, last game of the season.....knock on wood, fingers crossed!!!! In other news, it is FREEZING here. Below zero at night, and 10 during the day. Hello?? Man, that is cold. Even Hoosier doesn't want to stay outside. We long for the days when it is light outside until 8 p.m. or so, and warm enough for no jackets. Can't wait! June isn't that far off, right??!!

Feeling nostalgic...
Good afternoon all. We are taking it easy here in Auburn today. As the boys are napping, I thought that I would add a new post. I was looking at old photos and couldn't believe how quickly that Paul and Henry are growing up. Here are some old ones of them, Paul when he was almost a year old, and Henry when he was a little younger. Love those two like nothing else! Oh, and GO PATS!! P.S. we had 2 snow days this week, to bring the season's total to FIVE! Yikes! And we aren't even at February break yet. Can you say, "We will be in school until JULY!!". Have a nice 3 day weekend, thanks to Dr. King, "I have a dream!"

My little Big Boy
Happy Sunday! Go Patriots!! And here comes another snowstorm......brace yourself! A classic Nor-easter, they say. We'll see about that......oh, and I was trying to figure all morning, who Henry reminded me of, with his little curl. Then, it came to me.....let me know who you think that he looks like?!
