Recent events in the Dimitri Household

This week is April vacation for the Maine Dimitris. We have been having a perfect week, and look forward to the rest of vacation. Last night was MOVIE NIGHT! We watched Tangled and had candy, popcorn and soda. YUMMY!! We all enjoyed the movie and then the boys spent the night downstairs on the floor together. They call it, "camping out". : )

Here is a picture of Paulie....is it me, or does he look older??!!

Henry has been really excited lately about coloring and pretending that he is doing his "schoolwork". He was recently chosen for the local Pre-K program that will start in the fall for him. He is very excited about it!!

David LOVES to look at books, and his latest love is "Little Quack". He found another L.Q. book the other day in the sunroom, and was overjoyed!! He sat on the dogfood container and "read" it for a long time.

David also LOVES trains!! He likes to get as close as he can to them, and here he is right next to it. Just like the other boys used to do at his age. SO cute!!

We have had quite a cold spring thus far, and really are looking forward to some WARMER temperatures. Not sure when they are going to arrive, but we have been going outside anytime that it is not raining. : )

I posted this picture, so you all could see how tall the boys are getting...especially Paul!!

The sandbox is finally uncovered from the snow, so they can play in that now too!!

SMILE, Henry!!

Henry and Paul working at the construction site....

David joins in and helps with the other 2 boys....

Henry and his bud, Hoosier.

This is David's new hand gesture...."what?" "what did I do?"
hahahahahaha.......

Paul had his music concert at school on March 29th of this year, with the kindergartners and first graders. He was very excited about it, and I even heard him practicing in the bathroom the day of the concert. (so cute!!)

Here he had a solo with another girl in his class (some of you know her....) Sophia (in the pink dress)!!

Well, spring is almost here right??
It is according to the calendar, but not if you walk outside. It was 38 degrees today when we all went to Pizza Hut for their lunch buffet....yikes!! Doesn't sound like April 20th weather temps to me!! Oh, well....soon enough. Have a great week!

HAPPY EASTER!!! love you all!!

Boys and their toys...

Happy April Fools to Maine, apparently.....We had a SNOW DAY on April 1st and 10 inches of snow! WHAT IN THE WORLD???? Oh well...most of it is gone now, so that is good....here are a couple of more pictures.

Paul helped me cooked dinner on Sunday night. It started out as a distraction, to break the boys up, so they wouldn't fight. But ended up being a lot of fun, and Paul did a great job!!

Henry playing UNO....this kid loves to play cards!! (cards in the card holder that Brian made the garage...)

Henry LOVED this breakast that Daddy made....waffles with fresh berries! YUM!!

A good friend of mine gave the boys this tool set and when we got it home, they played it with it for hours on end. They were "worker men" doing jobs and building things. It was so cute! They loved!!

Paul and the "transformer" wrench.

The boys working together....I love the height progression in the photo....LOVE my boys!! : )

David is all smiles!!! : )

Hope everyone is happy and healthy!!
Looking forward to warm weather!!

Sunday morning playing in the snow

After a lazy, late breakfast, we all headed outside to play in the snow this morning. It was the first day in a long time that was warm enough to stay out for a while. Brian shoveled out the snow fort (again!), and the boys played in and around it. We had a great time, and I even pitched a few balls to Henry. That just made me feel like spring is right around the corner. Can't wait!!

We may have a couple of storms this week, so I am not too excited about that. Unless we have one on Friday, and make it a 3-day weekend! That might be worth it!! : )

Enjoy this video of the boys and I will try to post some more pictures over February vacation....(in 2 weeks). Love you all!

Happy Birthday Jon (tomorrow!)

....Christmas 2010....

Merry Christmas (season) everyone!! Happy New Year!! We had a perfect Christmas, and I am so thankful that the boys were (relatively) healthy. It was wonderful and joyous and everything that I had hoped it to be!!

We went to Mass on Christmas Eve at 4pm with Uncle John and Nini, and then back to 8 Fern Street for the traditional Dimitri Christmas Eve spread. YUM!! It was the first time for us preparing that food, and Brian was quite happy about it. : )

This is a picture of the 5 of us right when we got back from church.....you all know how much fun it was to take this picture.... ha, ha, ha!!

And to think that the boys actually stood still for about 4-5 more shots....

Henry has begun to teach himself how to write. Here he is writing "an envelope". That is what he calls a card. : )

Christmas morning we went over to my Mom's house for brunch and presents. Here Uncle John, Paul and Henry are playing with a new math game that John got for Henry.

David pointing out his favorite ornament on the tree at Nini's....
David receiving an Elmo hooded sweatshirt from Uncle John....(David LOVES Elmo!!)
Paulie is the newest member of the Boston Bruins!!
Back at 8 Fern Street, David plays with the Batcave from Grandma and Papa Jon.

Here David is earlier in the morning, playing the aircraft carrier that Santa brought.

The boys unwrapping the Batcave!! Very excited!!

Reading a book from Grandma and Papa!!

The beginning of the morning, opening stockings and moving onto the BIG presents!!

Uncle John working on a puzzle with the boys.

We finally got some snow just about 48 hours before Christmas day. The FIRST snow that actually stayed on the ground for more than 5 minutes....needless to say the boys were THRILLED!! (this is the latest that I remember getting our first Maine snow!)

We are supposed to get 10-14 inches more snow (and possibly MORE) tomorrow!

Getting excited!!
